The culture at Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) is derived from the

SS/L's long-term goals, as well as our daily activities, are guided by
these values. At SS/L, we work to emphasize quality, doing the right

As a leader in the satellite industry, we recognize the value of new ideas
that enhance technology, and we encourage employees to think
creatively. SS/L has an active patent program, holding over 160 patents.
SS/L promotes teamwork, knowing that it takes a collaborative effort with more than a million employee hours to design, build, and test our satellites. We understand that our employees are our greatest asset; when our employees grow and improve, so does our business, which is why we encourage growth and promotion within the company. SS/L offers management training courses for new managers. In addition, we have an employee tuition assistance program that assists employees who want to further their education in support of their career at SS/L.
SS/L is an active member of the community, supporting local organizations and charities, such as The Family Giving Tree and the Second Harvest Food Bank, as well as industry organizations. SS/L has a charitable contribution matching program, along with a yearly United Way campaign, encouraging employees to donate to a charity and making matching contributions.
SS/L has partnered with Change the Equation to support STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) by giving financial support, providing resources to local schools to promote STEM careers and learning, and offering local students a first-hand look at careers in STEM fields.
SS/L's SPACE (Servicing People And Community Engagement) program provides SSL employees volunteer opportunities locally.
